I beleive that people in the USA can order this model, I seem to recall a message on this list regarding this topic some time ago when boom-box units were put under the microscope. Once Upon A Long Ago, you could buy Sony equipment and know you were getting a quality product and something that was "GOOD" but now? Well, I even heard a tech chap on the radio say that Sony now would have to lift their game if they wanted to keep selling (I.e. not produce so much crap).
