Re: How does one know about DSL speed
You will have to contact the company you are paying for the dsl. There are several choices based on how much you want to pay. - Original Message - From: Jim Portillo [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC audio discussion list. I have about four different DSL Speed options and am not sure which one to choose. I've been having to switch between dialup and DSL in some places, and this is why I ask. Thanks. Re: How does one know about DSL speed
hi. The thing I would do is to find out exactly how fast your current plan lets you go, and then just set your player up for the option that best fits that. Since I have no idea how fast your plan goes, I can't say anymore, but that's what I would do if I wasn't sure. Re: dsl speed
Hi Jay, If you're gonna stream in a good quality your upstream is the importent part not your downstream. I don't know what the actual plan are for your area, but if you could get an upstream of 512 Kbps you'll be well suted for this. 256 will work to some extend though. I have 768 up and 4 megs down. Will 256k work for streaming, or should we go for the big 1.5 meg? What ought we to know in case something lower than 1.5 will work?
