RE: ExpressTalk
If you have both installed on your system you could using Expresstalk: If you wanted to call a skype number or contact just type it into the edit box and hit dial. The driver is activated and dials the number and the input and output from skype are routed through expresstalk. When you disconnect through expresstalk the driver disconnects the skype call. The only thing is that as soon as the driver activates skype you lose focus in the expresstalk window and have to alt-tab back to it. It's really easy to set up if you're using NCH's pbx software(I think they call it axon), but they say you don't need that. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Talksina Sent: Monday, February 26, 2007 6:50 PM To: PC audio discussion list. Hi, Thanks for the info. That's an extremely weird way of doing software, and not even really mentioned on the site, but thanks for letting me know. I won't uninstall then. RE: expresstalk
http://nch.com.au/talk/talksetup.exe Skype did have a promotion to allow you to call anywhere in the US/Canada free until the end of the year and then that service will cost again, and with Expresstalk it depends on the provider you choose like I mean like broadvoice or Free World Dialup what you can do. There are a number of VOIP services you can choose from using Expresstalk. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of David Tanner Sent: Sunday, December 24, 2006 12:31 AM To: PC audio discussion list. RE: expresstalk
Well, it depends on who's servers you are using, for example, it works fine with Free World Dialup, but I did try some other service and there was a real noticeable delay between when I said something and the other person heard it. As for sound quality, maybe someone else can answer that as I can't hear that well. It sounds fine to me. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Peter Scanlon Sent: Saturday, December 23, 2006 8:27 AM To: PC audio discussion list.
