problem is, that other books when i add them, instead of taking their
place alphabetically, tag on to the bottom of the list. that is after
the last book, which starts with a w. any ideas. brian.

I assume you're pasting the books onto the memory stick. Two things to try:

1. Open the View menu, select Sort By, and confirm that the first
option, Name, is checked.
2. Press F5 to refresh the folder view. By default, pasted files and
folders appear at the bottom of the directory in which they are pasted
until the folder is reloaded or refreshed.

HTH.

Hi james, i am still trying. this might seem a strange question, but
should i be in the folder i want to put right, when i go to view and
try to refresh it. i am asking this, because when i press f5, it
doesn't say that the page has been refreshed. brian.

Yes. After pasting your audiobooks, press F5 in the folder. If this
doesn't fix your problem, something else is the issue.

That's just a quirk of Windows. If you leave the window open, any
new files go to the bottom of the list. Next time you open it,
they will be in whichever order you select.

Neither of which might be the files' physical position, but
there's not much you can do about that (and usually won't need to).
