I'm not sure what format these DVD's would be in, but according to the
 features page at http://www.dvdae.com/dvdae/features:

 Support all DVD audio formats

DVD Audio Extractor can decode all the audio formats available on all
DVD-Audio and DVD-Video discs: MLP (Meridian Lossless Packiing), LPCM
(Linear pulse code modulation), DTS (Digital Theater Systems), Dolby
 Digital (AC-3), and MPEG2.

Yeah. It's way cool. It helped me learn what kind of behaver to expect

speaker should make in each movie I tried out. It's only 32 bucks. That's
not too much for such a valuable a program such as this. I've tried to

I agree. it's good, and easy to use. If you have a lot of DVD's, it's
probably worth buying. If you only have a few, and want a free solution, you
could use DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter to rip the DVD's. Then extract the
audio with Format Factory.
