That's just a quirk of Windows. If you leave the window open, any new files go to the bottom of the list. Next time you open it, they will be in whichever order you select. Neither of which might be the files' physical position, but there's not much you can do about that (and usually won't need to). -- rgds LAurence <>< ...Is it necessary to have a destination, or just a destiny? ---Taglines by Tagzilla (tagzilla.mozdev.org)

Yes. After pasting your audiobooks, press F5 in the folder. If this doesn't fix your problem, something else is the issue. -- James Scholes http://twitter.com/JamesScholes

Hi james, i am still trying. this might seem a strange question, but should i be in the folder i want to put right, when i go to view and try to refresh it. i am asking this, because when i press f5, it doesn't say that the page has been refreshed. brian.
re here is a question
Hi james, i have tried your suggestions, including unloading and loading the memory stick. unfortunately, the latest books i pasted, are still ou of position. brian.

I assume you're pasting the books onto the memory stick. Two things to try: 1. Open the View menu, select Sort By, and confirm that the first option, Name, is checked. 2. Press F5 to refresh the folder view. By default, pasted files and folders appear at the bottom of the directory in which they are pasted until the folder is reloaded or refreshed.
