Re: [PD-dev] Pd cvs write access

2007-07-17 Thread nathaniel dose
I posted to Tracker Patches on sourceforge as suggested by Georg.

That seems like the best solution since I am new to the project.

FYI, I just realized that i only fixed the portmidi implementation,
   because that's all really needed.

Yes - most of the work had been done already in portmidi. I basically had to
only 1) remove the pd_error messages that sysexin and midiin are supported on
linux only and 2) change s_midi_pm so that it could keep track of more than one
byte of sysex at a time.

Re: [PD-dev] Pd cvs write access

2007-07-16 Thread Georg Holzmann
Hallo Nathaniel!

Can someone please give me write privileges to CVS? (sourceforge username:
 dosena2)

I have some updates for pd/src and pd/portmidi that provide support for sysex
 on OS X.

The changes are extremely local in the sense that only a few lines of code
are changed in each of 3 files.

Great! Such changes are usually proposed to Miller with the patch system
on the sourceforge page, you can submit your patch here:
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=55736atid=478072

Hi Nathaniel,
please have a look at the devel_0_39 branch before committing your
changes - maybe your fixes are already tackled there.
I fixed midi input a long while ago, including sysex, real time and
system common messages.

greetings, Thomas

Please add them as a patch to the bug/patch tracker. It's not
necessary to have write access to the repository for a few lines of
code.

Ciao
