[PD] [PD-announce] DMT - Donnarumma, Michalakos, Tanaka tonight at Watermans Digital Weekender
apologies for x-post ~~~ DMT live ~~~ FREE TONIGHT, Saturday 2 Nov, Bar 19.00 Watermans Arts Center, Downstairs Bar Brentford, London DMT is Marco Donnarumma, Christos Michalakos, and Atau Tanaka, a trio of visceral electronic musicians that interface corporeal gesture and physical gesture with pulsing electronic noise. Donnarumma plays the Xth Sense biophysical muscle sensor system to sonify the performer's body. Tanaka runs granular synthesis algorithms on the iPhone, and Michalakos plays the Augmented Drum-Kit, a bespoke electroacoustic instrument based on the acoustic drum-kit. Together they create a wall of sound that is live technological thrill. http://www.watermans.org.uk/exhibitions/exhibitions/digital-art--performance-weekender.aspx Hope to see some of you there, -- Marco Donnarumma New Media + Sonic Arts Practitioner, Performer, Teacher, Director. [PD] [path] external
Does anyone know where is the [path] external's source located (the one that has a help file in 5.reference/path-help.pd)? The PD_META suggests it is an internal object but I could not find any trace of a gensym(path) in the source (or in the externals folder for that matter). Any help that can resolve this mystery is greatly appreciated! -- Ivica Ico Bukvic, D.M.A Composition, Music Technology Director, DISIS Interactive Sound Intermedia Studio Director, L2Ork Linux Laptop Orchestra Head, ICAT IMPACT Studio Virginia Tech Department of Music Blacksburg, VA 24061-0240 (540) 231-6139 (540) 231-5034 (fax) disis.music.vt.edu l2ork.music.vt.edu ico.bukvic.net ___ Pd-list@iem.at mailing list UNSUBSCRIBE and account-management - http://lists.puredata.info/listinfo/pd-list

Any help that can resolve this mystery is greatly appreciated! Never mind, apologies for the noise--it appears that a script overwrote PD_META and provided incorrect information. Is it safe to assume that classpath has replaced path at this point (they look identical in their behavior)? -- Ivica Ico Bukvic, D.M.A Composition, Music Technology Director, DISIS Interactive Sound Intermedia Studio Director, L2Ork Linux Laptop Orchestra Head, ICAT IMPACT Studio Virginia Tech Department of Music Blacksburg, VA 24061-0240 (540) 231-6139 (540) 231-5034 (fax) disis.music.vt.edu l2ork.music.vt.edu ico.bukvic.net ___ Pd-list@iem.at mailing list UNSUBSCRIBE and account-management - http://lists.puredata.info/listinfo/pd-list
[PD] Japanese PD books
Hello I was browsing on Amazon and I found quite a few books in Japanese written about pure data. I am wondering if there are any translations of these out there? I am currently reading the multimedia programming with pd and it seems nice so far but I am hoping and wondering if there is a more GEM focused book out there? Also, I wanted to pose/ask this question again regarding sequential patch playback. Peter and Marian's extended view toolkit kind of do this a little bit but I am wondering again if there is any way to configure or program pd to play a patch and then transition to another patch so that pd may be used for theatrical performances. I currently use Isadora for this but I still wish I could use pd for this purpose. I have fashioned playlist- but i would love to go from one Gem scene to the next with timed fades. I kind of can achieve to with pd syphon on Mac but my main theatre computer right now is a windows box. Does anyone share this desire with me? ___ Pd-list@iem.at mailing list UNSUBSCRIBE and account-management - http://lists.puredata.info/listinfo/pd-list
Re: [PD] Japanese PD books
Hello Pagano. Currently three Pd books in Japanese are published. I am the author of one of the books ( http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/486267142X ). Unfortunately, none of them are translated in any other languages... I hope somebody will translate our books someday. best, Chikashi Miyama On Nov 2, 2013, at 8:44 PM, Pagano, Patrick p...@digitalworlds.ufl.edu wrote: Hello I was browsing on Amazon and I found quite a few books in Japanese written about pure data. [PD] new feature for ponies to spit floats at objects
Hi list, I added a forwardmess method for canvases so that you can forward a message to any object on the canvas (by index). This will finally make it possible for Pure Data objects to receive any message a pony happens to spit at it: https://puredata.info/Members/jancsika/pony-spits-numbers-at-Pd.webm/view Best, Jonathan ___ Pd-list@iem.at mailing list UNSUBSCRIBE and account-management - http://lists.puredata.info/listinfo/pd-list
