Can you send your icon file and whatever else is needed to use it  
with KDE?  Or does KDE use the Windows format (pd.ico) or Mac OS X  
format (pd.icns)?

I used the png. Exactly like the one in your attachment. KDE scales it 
automatically and applies the transparency (on those formats that can 
handle it, like png).

isn't GNOME and KDE (and even OSX? VISTA?) capable of displaying SVG
files as icon ? would save work for different resolutions...
