Well, that's a problem already. They are known as connections, lines, cords, 
cables, wires and more. So why not pipe as well !

do you want what is called display lists ?... OpenGL allows you to pre-record 
command sequences for later playback. This is how you can get around the usual 
order of commands in OpenGL. I think that there's a way to do that in GEM.

This means that if you run GL commands after the end of a frame rendering, and 
before the beginning of the next one, it will have no effect. To be rendered 
correctly, you have to let the [gemhead] be triggered normally by [gemwin], or 
you have to turn-off the clearing of the buffer between frames (i don't recall 
the name for that).
