when i use pdext 43.4 without the libraries it finds zexy in
..AppData/Roaming/Pd by itself,

and it's possible to create e.g. [atoi].

with vanilla 46.7 this works for a handfull of libraries i tried, like
list-abs, testtools, readdir, moocow,

BUT NOT for zexy.
deken gives 2 downloadables for zexy, both fail.

the disfunctionality i mentioned in the opening of this thread
reappeared a few times.

i cannot yet determine what's exactly causing it
(hickups in the internet connection?).

[PD] [Patchingcirclebxl] reprise @ F/LAT ?

2015-10-12 Thread olm-e

(posté ailleurs précédement: )

hello,

liste, ou à i...@f-lat.org … ça nous
aidera beaucoup pour le moral pour réorganiser ceci.

Mille mercis,

--

Hello,

I hope you're doing great,

so a little poke :

We would like to know if there is a shared interest to restart the Patching
Circles in
Brussels to share projects, technical tricks and joy (or frustrations)
around Pure-Data and related stuff ?

we would be happy to receive you in the F/LAT (http://f-lat.org) space at the
WTC I tower at level 25, near Brussels North Station,
now that it's a place for arts.

If you have motivation, ideas and/or wishes, make yourself eared, here on this
list, or to i...@f-lat.org : we
need your input, it will help us shape and (morally) power these meetings for
the next months.

Thousands thanks,

Olivier

Re: [PD] deken-plugin.conf

2015-10-12 Thread rolfm

now it works!

i was also tackling other problems with the different versions of Pd
i'm using.

a number of times i've done uninstall's & install's.
also several cleanings of the windows register.

so i cannot tell what did the trick.

installpath D:/Pd-main/extra-deken is working for the downloading

other formats produce the message:

deken: No writeable directory found in:
- C:/Users/Gebruiker/AppData/Roaming/Pd
- C:/Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Pd
- H:/PD-main/Pd-map/pd-0.46-7test.msw/pd/extra
deken: Will not be able to download/install libraries

however, the downloaded search-plugin appears only
when it's placed in ..AppData/Pd

the zexy library in ..AppData/Pd is not found automatically (with
Vanilla 46.7)

neither after setting a path in preferences.

could you repeat your tests with "-verbose" turned on for both pdx and
pd-vanilla and post the complete output.

i doubt that the problem is on your side (e.g. broken internet
connection). more likely it is just the server taking too long to respond.
how long do you wait before you consider Pd "disfunctional"?

Did you verify that [atoi] actually comes from the deken installed zexy
and not from Pd-extended's own zexy?

Yes, there is a zexy (v0.0) ported from Pd-extended and a 'vanilla' zexy
2.2.6svn. It's important to know that - unlike the Pd-extended zexy -
the vanilla zexy comes as multiple-objects-in-one-file library. This
means you have to first [declare -stdlib zexy] or create [zexy] before
you can successfully instantiate [atoi].
