Discovered Adobe's Pixel Bender today and then spent too much time trying to find the proper installer for my version of Photoshop. Apparently it is included in CS6, but I'm using 5.1 with (the confusing) 5.5 Extension manager. The only part of my version of Pixel Bender worth playing with is the OilPaint effect. Nice one, Frank. Best street scene I've encountered for awhile. Judy and I went into town for a walk on Saturday, a glorious spring day! A highlight was the Kertesz exhibit at the Stephen Bulger Gallery - everyone near Toronto needs to go see it. Feeling inspired I had the camera at the ready as I left the gallery and a few blocks later saw this gentleman, who seemed to be trying to figure something out - hence the title: http://knarfdummyblog.blogspot.ca/2015/05/thought-balloons.html Hope you enjoy. Peso- Final SummerBW
Thanks for considerate comments, Don. Also, you remarked about my intention to post a BW. I've done so here and by use of vivid landscapes option and backing off some on the blue channel, felt it maybe worth posting. Grateful for any remarks. I dunno. I've my doubts about its biological accuracy. It seems to suggest that men can entertain more than one thought at a time, and that they're something other than straightforward black white. Re: PESO: White Dogwood
Thanks for looking and commenting, John. I see your point. In this kind of shot, usually the focus is on the tiny, spherical flowers in the center. What I actually was focusing on here was the rear bracht of the left blossom, trying to depict the texture and subtle colors. I guess my eyes weren't quite sharp enough to get the focus right.
