Re: Third party K-1 pixel shift support
Time is worth something. That's what stops me from diddling with every single piece of software that happens along, because to do it usefully takes a lot of time. I'm always disappointed when something that looks very promising turns out to have a fatal flaw such that all my experimenting time was wasted. Opportunity cost: time spent dinking with one package means I can't spend time on something else that might have been more worthwhile. Ok, the URL you included was about how to make cross platform *installation* CDs. My experience with Windoze, if you insert a CD with just image files & no autorun, it opens an AutoPlay Dialog, with options to import photos or to open the folder to view files using Windows Explorer. Windows default import setting copies the images into "My Pictures". In Explorer, you can double click the photo's icon and it will open in whatever photo program you have installed. If you don't already have a program installed for viewing photos, it opens with "Windows Photo Viewer. Probably the more important consideration though was Larry's point about so many of the newer computers no longer having CD/DVD drives. None of the MacBooks have them. I don't think even the iMacs have them anymore. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

Re: K-3 auto focus on video
No, you're going to have pull focus manually. I think it has focus peaking, which should make that easier, but I shoot a K-5II, and based on every review would shoot something other than Pentax, if I cared about shooting video. Dave, hold the Option key down when you start Lightroom and you get a list of recent catalogs to open.
