My tripod has disappeared. I've searched the house and cars several times and can't find it anyplace. No image stabilization system will stop the motion blur induced by a bus's movement without making the scene look artificial. I can understand your feeling that the motion blur detracts from the scene for you, Larry, but perhaps we have different aesthetic notions in mind. Fleeting glimpses in the chaotic tumble of a bus's transit are only rarely crystal clear. Anybody know the Turlock/Merced area?
I just found out that starting tomorrow I'm going to be working in Ballico, between Turlock and Merced, for 2-3 days this week. With the time change it'll be dark by the time I get off work, but there still might be some opportunities to play with cameras. Anybody know any places in that vicinity? Yosemite is 1.5 hours away, so probably not feasible. -- Larry Colen l...@red4est.com http://red4est.com/lrc https://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/collections/72157612824732477/ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

Re: OT: Jovian Close-Up
Dan, That's a very interesting rather "abstract" image. The same website has yet another image of the same space object: https://www.nasa.gov/image-feature/jpl/swirling-jovian-storm-natural-color This one looks like a close-up from one of [painted] body-study images by Bruce.
