Would Ricoh's Image Sync app be of any help to you? RE: A good experience with Adobe
Good to hear you got sorted by Adobe - I've always been satisfied with their service. I've tried to use Lightroom a couple of times, just can't get on with it, so I've always come back to PS - I'm also using the subscription model, which I do think is economical in the long run. John in Brisbane -Original Message- From: PDML On Behalf Of Paul Stenquist Sent: Saturday, 29 February 2020 2:58 AM To: Pentax-Discuss Mail List Subject: A good experience with Adobe Believe it or not, I had a very good experience with Adobe. I had been running PS6 and an old version of Bridge under High Sierra OS on my Mac. I knew I couldn’t go beyond High Sierra and continue to use the old PhotoShop. But Intuit said that beginning next year, Turbo Tax would no longer run on High Sierra or older OS, so I figured now is a good time to move on. I installed the Catalina OS, purchased Adobe’s cloud-based photography package for $9.95 a month and tried to install Creative Cloud. Couldn’t do it. The install always stopped about a third of the way through. I looked for help on the web and couldn’t find much, so I called Adobe Tech. They put me on the callback list. About twenty minute later a tech in India called me. I let him take control of my computer, and he worked on it for about half an hour, throwing away old Adobe files and installing the new software. He was a really nice guy, and I got his name and employment verification. While he worked we talked about photography and writing (he asked what I did for a living). It was a very pleasant experience, and I now have the latest version of Photoshop and Bridge working very well. Will try Lightroom again one of these days, but I suspect I’ll stick with what I know. Re: PESO x2: Monarch
I just looked it up, our ones are indeed the same ones from the American continent. I've always found that macro lens to be very versatile. It's always quite easy to find a few interesting things to photograph in the garden. The only downside is that you may find yourself in a few contorted positions in the process. I was using a watering can as a makeshift tripod for those ones. Cheers, Dave > On Feb 29, 2020, at 4:00 AM, Alan C wrote: > > Very smart images, Dave. Very smart images, Dave. I really need to get going with my FA 100/2.8! Are your Monarchs the same as the ones in the USA. We get (African) Monarchs here but they are a different species.
