I just had a look at the optical diagrams on the K-Mount Page.  The F / FA 
optical diagram shows the filter as part of the optics but the A* 600/5.6 
doesn't.  I certainly wouldn't take that as gospel as I don't know where those 
diagrams come from.  I'd tend to assume that any lens with a filter drawer 
would need the filter.  Clear as mud :D

Bill, the F* and FA* 600 F4 lenses do require a filter as part of the optical

Bob, another very nice set. I particularly like the last shot with the with the 
wildflowers.

The headstones are similar to those in Woodland Cemetery, where I’ve done a lot 
of shooting in the last year and a half. It is maintained by  a non-profit 
corporation and volunteers. It is almost full, and only about a dozen burials 
occur there annually now.

We loved the Stellar's Jays when we lived in Washington, their color is much
more vibrant than the the eastern blue jays'.  My wife fed them (and the local
flock of ravens) peanuts from the railing of our little balcony out back.

Now that we find ourselves back in the East (Pennsylvania) we do have at least
one pair of cardinals about and some red-winged blackbirds to ensure there's
some color in our day.

Highgate is divided by a road (Swain's Lane if I remember). The top part 
where all the rich & famous are buried with very ostentatious 
headstones, angels, etc. seemed better but they wanted £35 to get in 
there. Views of London from the very top. We visited the low part at 
only £15. Remember Karl Marx & George Eliot amongst others. There were a 
few souls trying to tame the jungle. There was a Chinese funeral in 
progress right at the bottom where there was still a bit of space available.
