Hi Patrick I'm in Sydney and although I've been to both Brisbane & Perth, I don't have a great knowledge of photographic places to visit there.
In Perth I can recommend Kings Park botanic Gardens - there are some great views across the Swan River towards the city as well as local flora. A trip to Rottnest Island is apparently a tourist favourite to see the friendly quokkas - haven't been there myself, though. I'm sure the Western Australian Visitor Centre in Perth city would be a useful source of ideas. As far as Brisbane is concerned, the Southbank precinct should be worth a visit but again, the Visitor Centre would be the place to start. Hope you enjoy the trip!
