As to the way I would meter...

I usually meter similar to what Larry suggests.
- Set desire ISO, probably 400
- Set for spot meter, manual mode
- Set desire A for the desire DOF
- meter the object with the green button
But instead of chimping, try to use zone system :)

PESO - The Last Day

As it turned out, we wife threw them out that evening. Hence, its
name "The Last Day".

I even attempt to write a poem too. LOL.

20+20 hours traveling. 5 days in Bangkok. I should try to write a
picture blog about it.

Apparently, Thai's milk tea is also very sweat. They put lots of
sweeten condensed milk which make it very sweet. Actually most of the
Thai dishes that we tried were rather sweet.

PESO - 2009 Week 5 "On Patrol"

2009-02-03 Thread Pasvorn Boonmark
I got a new adaptors for a G1 today. The contraption allows the use
of Pentax lens on the G1.
By the time I got home, it was dark, so I asked my son if he want to
try it out (he likes the DL that I have, but he likes MX the best.)

Here's one of the picture that we took tonight:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/pbhome/3250029118/

Panasonic G1 + DMW-MA1 adaptor + Fotodiox PK + SMC-A 50mm f/1.4
1/30 sec, f/1.4, ASA 125 at 45cm

IMHO, the Bokeh on the left side is a little harsh (another LEGO guy.)
I don't remember seeing it like this before.

Thanks for looking,

On the "Ribbon and Shoes", I like the concept. However, the ribbon
lack texture. It looks like it probably a bright red and some detail
was lost. I don't know if I can suggest anything here since I think
many sensors can not handle red very well.

I like "Vines on Tree", if you can try again, may be could try with
the leaves also in focus (smaller aperture for deeper DOF.)
