I used to see these on ebay every now and again. Not much any more.

Has anyone run across one for sale?

Re: Pentax 2x converter A

2004-10-16 Thread Super Dave
Thanks...

I have purchased a very nice Pentax A2X-S. I appreciate your input.

For now it will be used with my 105 macro and 200 f4. I hope to get a 200
2.8 in the future, but I'll need to save my pennies.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the advise - M200 f4

2004-10-14 Thread Super Dave
My Pentax M200 f4 showed up today. Its a beauty...looks practically brand
new. I decided to try out a A2x S converter too. See what I can do with that
combo.

Has anyone had experience with the 2x Pentax conv.? I have several mixed
opinions from fellow photographers...some swear by a good teleconverter, and
others say the have never met a good one.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to testing the lens, and thanks again to
everyone who offered me info.

Saw this review link on dpreview's pentax slr discuss.

If the only negatives are the name and that it needs an adapter for
Universal mount...I think it will do well in the market.

Steve,

You got a good deal if it is in the condition described. I paid more than
$200 for mine and it wasn't as nice.

You have some great ones in there...especially considering you were not
working with pros (I know how much work that can be).

Fortunately the subject matter makes up it.

I think you will have a winner of a calendar.

By the way...I really like how your use of the hat as a prop...very nice.

It has been a while

2004-09-08 Thread Super Dave
Hello all,

It's been a year or two, but I thought I'd drop in again. Still shooting a
couple of ZX-5's, but I also have an older Spotty I picked up in an
antique store.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying photography.
