PESO: Chicago - Central Camera

2010-05-14 Thread taylorjohn541
I had an absolute blast last week in Chicago!
Huge thanks to Mark and Christine for all their hard work and dedication to
make
the exhibit a reality. So good to meet you PDML'ers that were there. You all
are an
awesome group of very talented folks.
I haven't had much time to process many of the images I had taken, but here is
one.
Hope too many aren't anti-HDR because that is what I'm into these days.
I'll be posting some more shots and thoughts from the trip this weekend.

Had some weirdness going on with the gallery sub-name.

I haven't deleted anything, so I'll collect the links and include in one

Hi Christine,
Just wanted to give you a great big hug to say thanks again for all you efforts
for the
exhibition and being such a wonderful host to the great city of Chicago.
I'll be posting some images from Chicago this weekend.

Re: Anyone in the SF Bay Area got an ultrawide in K-mount?

I'm about to have my kitchen remodelled, and I'd like to get a
before shot. I've got the DA* 16-45 (and the 10-17 fisheye
zoom), but I'd really prefer to use a rectilinear ultrawide.
Does anyone in the area have anything like the Pentax 12-24
or the Sigma 10-20 that I could use on Sunday or Monday?

Hey John,
If you can't find a loaner maybe you could shoot with the fisheye and download
the Photoshop
CS5 demo. The lens correction tool looks pretty good and someone has posted a
profile for
the 10-17:

Hope this helps,

Nice images Chris,

I especially like the tower forms in #2228. You're lucky to be there so early
and
have time to roam around. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on the weather for the
weekend too.
Looking forward to meeting you and the rest of the gang on Friday.
