AF-360FGZ and P-TTL mode

2002-07-30 Thread Herb Chong

the manual is obscure about it, but if i read it correctly, i can set fill
flash exposure compensation from the flash unit only in P-TTL mode. so, if
i want to use a fill flash of about 1.5 stops under without going to manual
exposure on the body and using the exposure compensation dial, i have to be
in P-TTL mode, which means i have to have a body that supports P-TTL mode.
right? MZ-S and ZX-L are only bodies that support P-TTL mode?

i can't get my ZX-5n to switch into P-TTL mode. only TTL. flash manual
doesn't say anything about it either as a supported camera. only MZ-S, but
then ZX-L was introduced later.

Re[2]: AF-360FGZ and P-TTL mode

2002-07-30 Thread Bruce Dayton

Dick,

Remember there is a difference between P-TTL and digital TTL and
analog TTL for Pentax. The only bodies that I know of that support
P-TTL are the MZ-S and the ZX-L.

For all other TTL bodies you can't dial in flash compensation on the
AF360FGZ. It will function just like the other FTZ flashes.
