Hi
As Paul said there some that work as abstractions and others are nice photo's.
I am far from an expert but to me these worked as abstractions
Blonde
Echinacea
Jellies
Ornament
Shroom2
Seeds
There are some which I think would work if cropped
Been there
Rainbow Eucalyptus
Red sky
All in all an interesting Gallery

Excellent. I’d call some of these abstract, but any are just nice photos with
unique or unusual perspective.

GESO: Abstractions

2022-08-31 Thread Daniel J. Matyola
I recently came across some very effective abstract images online, by Dario
Bonazza and other Pentax photographers. I decided to make a small
collection of my own abstract images, with the idea of perhaps creating a
calendar and/or a photo book.

Well, I got carried away, and the small collection grew far too large. I
think I am having some problem defining for myself what an abstract image
is. In any event, I now have a folder of about 90 images, which I intend
to weed out, discarding those that are not really abstracts, those that are
simply dull, and those that are weak, even by my flexible standards.

If anyone has the time and inclination to scroll through the folder and
give me your honest and even brutal comments, I would
greatly appreciate your time and efforts. Unfortunately, most of the
images are not the full size version, as I collected them from my PPG,
Squarespace and photo.net galleries, all of which require reduction to some
extent. After I narrow down the collection, I will look for the
original files.

Thanks in advance for any honest and blunt comments, suggestions and
criticisms you might be kind enough to offer.

If you click on the first file in the folder, you can scroll quickly
through the rest with the right arrow.
