LOL - I'm from the Midwest but my parent's were native New Yorkers and I 
picked up a lot of their affectations of speech. And *they* always 
called these guys daddy long legs as well... So it must be universal

I think that "daddy Long Legs" refers to either these harvestmen

Leaves image is a stack focused shot - three images combined. Not 
intentional since I was hand holding the camera - but the three 
consecutive shots were good for stacking...
