That's a great set of photos, looks like a fun occasion all round.

Thanks Bob. Yes, it is a lot of fun. I usually spend most of my time
there dancing at Mr. Fezziwig's Christmas party, but there are a lot of
shows, merchants selling a wide variety of wares, and some surprisingly
good food for such a venue, not to mention street theater all over the
place. In addition to the shows I photographed we also had a nice tea at
Cuthbert's and saw a show called Naughty French Postcards that Bruce
would have loved. Unfortunately, photography is not allowed at NFP, but
it's quite well done. There are a couple of actors on the stage doing
some generally humorous dialogue in front of a scrim. Every couple of
minutes the lights will go down in front of the scrim and come up behind
the scrim showing a scene with several actors posed, often evoking
various classical paintings.

And if this isn't Leonard Rossiter then my name's not Dick Van Dyke.

Since that's my friend Jeremy, I afraid that means you're not Dick Van
Dyke, to the deleterious effect that has to your camera gear budget.

Also thanks to Ken, Paul, David et. al.

Since we were discussing the 55-300 in another thread, here are a bunch
of photos from Dickens Fair yesterday. The closeup photos of the singers
were shot with Nicole's DA 55-300:

The wide shots were mostly shot with my DA 15-30/2.8 and my walkaround
lens for the rest of the day was my Tamron 28-75/2.8.

The singers are a group called Brass Farthing, and the morris dancers
are a team called Pipe and Bowl. I did have fun on some of the photos
of the morris dancers by photographing them at ridiculously slow shutter
speeds.

To see the photos with the exif next to them

I apologize for not picking out one or two, but while I'm generally
pleased with the set I don't have any particular favorites. As always
comments and constructive suggestions are appreciated.
