Dave, If I listed all of the gear I purchased with the last 45 days you wouldn't feel at all bad. Re: I NEED an intervention.
Picked up, what i hope is, a good used D1H. I should have bought one years ago, instead of the D2H, but at the time i thought it was a waste just for ev in 1/3 and a bit better screen. However additional research AFTER i bouth the d2 indicated a major advancement in colour and noise over the D1 and fixed the magenbta cast from the D1. As mentioned i always liked what i got from the D1 so hopefully this will work out and the D2 will go. I will mis the raw/jpeg mode, but i have that in the D200. I need an intervention, quick
Well last week i bought a Sigma 300 F4 for the istD and today i bought the Sigma 170-500 for the Nikon. Why oh why, does the little devil voice in my head talk louder then the cute little angel voice. Some Paw samples to follow. Dave BTW someone mentioned turning the quick release around to mount the one lens. I tried it at 90 degrees and it works ok. A bit of a pain were the ball release is but workable. Now i can do some ~real~street photography from the comfort of the C'est What bar and grill.
