I have two.May be i can help.

Dave

We love the K1000. It even takes K and M lenses.

 Hello all

Does this list cover all things Pentax, including the old K1000?

If so, I'll get my questions ready.

If not, would someone be good enough to direct me to a more appropriate
 list?

 Thanks in advance.

 Mike

Brendan, quit dicking around with the new guy!

Mike, as you already know from several other posts, there are many K1000
lovers here. I'm not one of them. Not 'cause I don't like them, just
because I don't own one. But, many of us do, and I'm sure they'll be
pleased to share their knowledge.

Beware of several things, however. For one thing, although no one will ever
tell you to part with your beloved (the K1000) unless it's broken and
unrepairable or something, you will be encouraged to upgrade. It's very
subtle and gentle. It doesn't hit you over the head with a hammer. It's
sort of Gee, Mike, if you like your 2.0 50mm, why not go a bit faster? Try
out a 1.4 50mm! Or, Does your 28mm make you happy? You should see what a
24mm will do for you! You know, the K1000 is a wonderful camera, but it
would make a great back up for an MX (or LX). You think your negs are
sharp? You need a Pentax 6x7. Medium format is the way to go, my boy!

And don't even get me going on digital; you see, we're all a-twitter here,
as Pentax just released it's first digital 35mm SLR. You've likely noticed
a few threads with *ist D in the subject line - it's our latest object of
lust.

This is all called enabling, and you must resist. Elsewise, you'll end up
a typical PDMLer. Luckily, I'm quite normal, but we aren't all...

cheers (and welcome to the list - seriously, you'll learn a lot here),
frank, Toronto, Canada (where you from?)
