I guess. I used to buy distilled water for filling my iron back when I

By the time I get around to using them the taste is gone.

There was at one time, a radio program on the CBC called Ideas. One
Robbie
Burns day there was a series of interviews with cellarmasters from the
major distillers in Scotland.
Every single one of them indicated that whisky should be diluted
somewhat
with water. They all had their own recommendation regarding how much,
varying from 25% to 50%, but the message from each was the same.
I don't know if it's the same for whiskey, but I do find I prefer

There was at one time, a radio program on the CBC called Ideas. One
Robbie

Burns day there was a series of interviews with cellarmasters from the
major distillers in Scotland.
Every single one of them indicated that whisky should be diluted somewhat
with water. They all had their own recommendation regarding how much,
varying from 25% to 50%, but the message from each was the same.
I don't know if it's the same for whiskey, but I do find I prefer bourbon
over ice rather than neat.

Once you get accustomed to drinking it at room temperature, Neat -- with a
splash of water -- is more intense intense than on the rocks, and
therefore, in my view, even more satisfying.

Ditto. I drink both scotch and bourbon over ice. If it's very special, I'll try
some neat but only to get an undiluted sample.

The wisky sterilizes the water, removing most of the contamination from the
fish copulation.
