Huh. I sort of know that having seen it in some movie (not scotch tape, but hose, women's stockings, same idea, it distorts the features). You have looked at his other photos on site, right? Models painted white then dripped with some red that looks sort of like blood. I guess one can be happy he's doing his whatever fantasies with photography rather than in real life. Or so one hopes. Set in a 'maison close' in fin-de-siecle Paris, it is ravishing to look at, but there is real horror at the heart of it. Being a French film it is a metaphor about women. That's the downside of a narrowly themed series. I don't know what minimum number qualifies a set of pictures as a series, but they often seem to be labouring the point before the last entry is reached. Philippe Hausman’s ‘Celebrities Jumping’ series would have got the point across in three or four images IMO, but then it possibly wouldn't have been a series.
