I especially like that the reds to do not overwhelm the rest.
The K100D was bad about reds.  I actually liked the istDS for its color
and normal sharpness better than the K100D

They're the same image (data, that is), 
just cropped to allow a 100% section to be displayed.

PESO: Crab Apples

I decided to stick my son's Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 135/3.5 on the K-X.
Hand-held.  ISO 200, Av mode.  jpg file format.
Metering is in averaging mode, so with the sky and brees
I had to over-expose about 1 1/3 stops, iirc.
Nice color saturation.  Better than the K100D.
