Late this afternoon, I was checking out one of the milkweed pants on my dreck. I had placed some newly emerged Monarch butterflies on that plant so they could dry their wings and then fly off, and I wanted to confirm the had moved on. I spotted think tiny caterpillar, about a half inch long, crawling up one of the stalks. It apparently had hatched from an egg laid there by on of the monarchs I had released two about two weeks ago.
