I know I wanted to comment on the colour version of this one because I liked it a great deal. I don't remember if I ever got around to it. When I saw this post I thought, Oh no, a black and white conversion will never eclipse the original! But I was wrong. Your conversion is brilliant, Jack! That dark sky and the beautiful greys of that metal shed really make this special! A wonderful photo just got.better... I prefer the BW also. Well done! Looks a bit off kilter to my eye. Needs a fraction of a degree of image rotation and then a slight crop, I believe. 0.75 degrees is exactly right, Darren. Thanks! I initially checked the level and made a small correction (didn't use a tripod, so no leveler applied) by attempting to level the base of the shed. I couldn't see through that left end bush, but guess I didn't consider that necessary. The BW also enhances the cloud patterns which are barely discernible in the colour version.
