I had always heard that a gentle Scottish mist described when it rained 
so hard that trout could swim up out of the streams...

Thanks, Ann. The thick mist moistens the flora (and everything else) so 
differently than rain. The drops don't roll off, they just grow and slowly 
accumulate, and don't seem to roll off.

Makes for lots of beauty but you really have to get up close. Quickly walk by 
and you'll miss it.
