Corrected tree ID: The colorful tree in the background is flowering dogwood. The foreground tree is a black oak. Thanks for the compliments, everyone! Alan, the foreground tree is indeed an oak; a beech behind it is contributing the colors. PESO - Walk in The Woodlands
After a very frustrating work day yesterday, I took my camera for an hour’s walk in The Woodlands (as Woodland Cemetery is now known). The light was marvelous. For this shot I followed Sam Abell’s advice: “Find an interesting background, and wait for something to happen.” https://rickwomer.smugmug.com/PESOs-2017/Neighborhood-2020/Fall-2020-Neighborhood/i-98b6JXb/A (K-5, DA 17-70) Plaudits, criticism, and brickbats all welcomed.
