Thanks to everyone who suggested Web hosts on and off line. I'll figure one

Dr. John ;),

I use http://www.hostsmart.com to host my kids' site. I register my domains
at http://www.directnic.com -- hosting is $4.95/mo for 20MB and domain is
$15/yr.

I've never had problems with hostsmart. I believe that directnic will host
up to 20MB with them for free if you register your domain name using their
services. I believe the free space requires banner advertising.

you also may want to check out http://www.servercentral.net/ -- they
provide the same price for domain registration and start at about $7/mo for
30MB.

Good luck!

John

If you dont want to set up a web site but just want to share your pictures
on the web then these people will let you store up to 50Mb of photos for
free. You could always do multiple registrations if that werent enough -
but I didnt suggest that did I.

Their terms and conditions don't look too bad, in general, except for
one thing. You are allowed to print off one copy of any page you like
for your own personal use. Similarly, any other user can do the same
to any of your pages.
Using their services means you accept their terms and condition.
While that's the de facto situation (let's face it: you can't prevent
anyone printing off a hard copy of any image you make web-accessible),
that doesn't mean I'd be prepared to authorize any such activity.
