I knew that!(strike-out vs strike) duh.. but my fingers didn't. ..

I was about to write a correctionwhen I saw you had explained in the K
titled thread :-)

didn't know all the other stuff you elaborated on...

Used to watch games on TV when it got down to the playoffs . and I did
see the Cubs play in 1945(! yes) in Wrigley field - however

not in the World Series games..

I did find it a bit distressing the first time I saw fans in the stands
hold up the K banners when it got to the max number within an inning

for un-baseball related reasons!

caught the ball and threw it to first. Each position on the field is assigned a
number so a grounder to the short stop (position 6) who throws it to first base

Which brings us to the eternal question, "Who's on first?"

Yes, as others have said, very interesting. It makes me want to look at it—and
look at it again. I would only wish that those flecks of white that appear to
be on the window, whatever they are, weren’t there. i’m guessing that in making

2015-02-05 Thread Bulent Celasun
Thanks Larry,

I think you are right about the cropped leaf which I only noticed
during post processing :(

The light source is home-made; probably I should have spent more time
to finduse the proper one (a soft box).

And, in fact, my original was a horizontal :)

I am happy that we are on similar tracks...

I love the composition (though it may be slightly improved if the leaf in
the lower left didn't have it's tip cropped off.

I nearly love the lighting, but in some ways it seems just a bit flat, not
really showing texture in the leaves.

All in all it's a wonderful shot, but it makes me feel like it could be
wonderfuller. Just for fun, try a horizontal crop, at 2x3, off the bottom,
so that you lose most of the leaves in the background that seem kind of dark
 and flat.

Still a 404 in Firefox, but the link works in Safari. Odd.

I like the subjects in the pic a lot; but they blend into the background
(especially the pump on the left, which is squarely in front of the tree trunk)
