you should also take a closer look at the Elmo
Omnigraphic projector series. They are great machines
and accept Kodak round magazines.

(you may copy and past the link; scroll down to Film
and slide projectors)
or try

Generally, don't buy a projector that can't at least
accept halogen lamps of 250W.

Re: Projector suggestions

2001-06-30 Thread rob

Hi,

I was thinking about getting a projector earlier this year but decided to
leave it for a while.
(I am looking to move house/job/location soon so need to resist spending).

Searching the newsgroups photo.net lead to me the conclusion that
the one to go for in this price range was the Leica RT-s or RT-m, which
has advantages over the very very similar Kodak 9020.

The main difference is the condensor and light path to the slide, the
Leica RT prevents far more heat from getting to the slide meaning far
less popping. It also comes with the Super Colorplan lens as standard.

I believe the FF Flat Field lens is best for plastic mounts.

For $2800 you should be able to get the RT-s with Super Colorplan case,
along with a good screen.

Try searching on www.photo.net and google search for...

Let us know what you decide.

Let us know how impressed you are with the RT
