Great stuff, Paul. A friend of mine in Rhodesia used to have a Cord (plus a 1928 Fiat roadster). I well remember a couple of short trips in it. He had to pull away in 2nd gear because it shuddered so badly in 1st. He said it was one of only two which were ever imported into Southern Africa. The other was originally in Pretoria but was later bought by a US can museum still bearing it's TP number-plate. Apparently they got some mileage out of that by claiming it had belonged to Tyrone Power! Re: GESO - Concours Pics
Yeah, you're right. Since it was introduced in September 1966 my memories could not have been of the summer of 66. 67 was Expo in Montreal and we didn't travel so it must have been the summer of 68. It was a 67 Camero though. cheers, frank --- Original Message --- From: "J.C. Wonderful photos of beautiful cars (except the Edsel of course). Too much beauty to pick a fave but that 66 (I think) Camero is wonderful. The only one I remember from my North American childhood. My late cousin Bruce had a 66 convertible. I spent a month at my grandparents in Halifax that summer and Bruce took me cruising.
