Great stuff, Paul. A friend of mine in Rhodesia used to have a Cord (plus a 
1928 Fiat roadster). I well remember a couple of short trips in it. He had 
to pull away in 2nd gear because it shuddered so badly in 1st. He said it 
was one of only two which were ever imported into Southern Africa. The other 
was originally in Pretoria but was later bought by a US can museum still 
bearing it's TP number-plate. Apparently they got some mileage out of that 
by claiming it had belonged to Tyrone Power!

Yeah, you're right. Since it was introduced in September 1966 my memories could 
not have been of the summer of 66. 67 was Expo in Montreal and we didn't travel 
so it must have been the summer of 68.

It was a 67 Camero though.
