Very nice lighting and an almost surreal setting - great!

2014-03-26 Thread Ann Sanfedele

Looks like a dangerous place to stand..
LOVely light and very interesting scene.. A bit of a nit that may not
have been possible (and you may disagreen anyway) - the little person
looks rather like a statue - In one sense it makes it more comic - like,
here I am with the bales I

stacked - but if I'd been there I would have wanted the person to
be walking away from the camera or doing something. But as I said,
that's a nit... the scene is really striking

Thanks for the kind words Ann. The person is my Mrs, Alma. I actually
took the picture while I was still walking. I cropped in a tiny bit as
the edges show motion blur. The lens is very wide so I got away with it.
She'd just stopped and turned around to see what I was up to. i took a
couple of others but when looking later this one caught my eye. I might
try going back and doing some without anyone in it. Dusk can be a
magical time eh!

Good tones, did the bales swell after soaking up the torrential rains? There
are only some puddles left of the flooding :-)

The flooding has receded now in the Thames Valley. We had a couple of
weeks of dry weather to give the ground a good chance of recovering.
Water table is still very high, but no flooding now.

Thanks for all the kind comments to all who viewed.
