I am done with the first 3 lessons, esp the 'set camera to manual'. This image is the second of two taken of the same view. Last year I started wondering whether a different view point would impact the effectiveness of a scene, much like wandering in a semi-circle looking for a better angle. I term it the 'mouse level'. In this case it turend a rather boring snap shot into something with a bit more impact. http://photo.psgv.ca/solar-energy/ Gerrit Quite nice. The only problem I have with those "worm's eye view" photos is getting back up from the ground once I get down there to take them. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

according to the exif, he was at 18mm on a 18-250mm lens. On 3/11/2014 6:50 PM, Bruce Walker wrote: Nice! Great idea for the down-low PoV. Could you have gotten closer and gone wider? RE: PESO - Solar Energy
Thanks Bruce, I have a growing collection of mouse level shots, will have to build a GESO soon. If I had been alone, yes on the closer :-) The lens was already at 18mm. I would have preferred not to have the hut in the view but cropping would have taken the sun out as well I think. And it wouldn't have owrked without it. Perhaps I will try a vertical orientation. Actually if it had been just Pat and myself I could have as well but the people we were with don't do photos, at all. Nice! Great idea for the down-low PoV. Could you have gotten closer and gone wider?
