Nicely seen and captured. Reminds me of the Palouse region in Washington state. Re: Cow Christmas
Thanks, Rick. It was like this: https://filmschoolrejects.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Sunset-ET-bikes.jpg Actually it’s a strange geological formation called Steyning Bowl. You can see the warped contour lines on the map on this page. I was at 150m alt. a bit north of the point where the lane from New Hill Barn meets the yellow road. The cows were at the bottom, at about 40m alt. http://www.westsussex.info/south-downs-way-steyning-bowl.shtml Because the sun is so low in the sky at this time of year it was just above the top of the hills opposite me and cast those beautiful shadows. The lens plays tricks with the perspective, of course. I used a Panasonic 35-100/2.8 at the long end, which is 200mm in old money. As I set off again heading south there is a really stunning panorama of the sea framed between the hills with the sunlight reflecting off it, however by that point I was moving at over 60 km/h and not inclined to stop for more photos. > On 24 Dec 2020, at 18:58, Rick Womer wrote: > > The contours and shadows make this a very nice shot. > > So, were you riding along the edge of a cliff, or did you go so fast that you > became airborne? > > Happy Christmas, Bob! > > Rick > >> On Dec 24, 2020, at 12:07 PM, Bob Pdml wrote: >> >> From this morning’s bike ride. >> >> https://adobe.ly/3aEvSpZ >> >> Happy Christmas y’all! >> -- >> -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
Re: Cow Christmas
The contours and shadows make this a very nice shot. So, were you riding along the edge of a cliff, or did you go so fast that you became airborne? Happy Christmas, Bob!
