Wow, the varieties of butterflies, other bugs and flora in your neck of the woods is amazing, and your photos of them are spectacular. I think this may be your best set yet. I figured after putting in five miles (give-or-take) yesterday without even a muscular twing, a little longer stroll couldn't hurt. Re: GESO: The Seven-Mile Photowalk - 4/18/2012
Thank you, Frank! We do have bugs aplenty -- loads and loads of butterflies, most of which are too quick an nimble for me to photograph. I've seen quite a few gorgeous ones that I just couldn't keep up with. I'll be glad when the mimosa tree in the front yard finally blossoms, as it attracts swallowtails galore. Thank you, Dan! I get a lot of satisfaction out of butterfly shots. They can be a real challenge -- especially when it's warm and sunny like it was today. They were pretty active and nimble. -- Walt On 4/18/2012 6:43 PM, Daniel J. Matyola wrote: Nice collection of images, especially those of the butterflies! Re: GESO: The Seven-Mile Photowalk - 4/18/2012
Thank you, Bob! Although I *think* the hawk is actually a very low-flying turkey vulture -- lowest I've ever seen, in fact. I've yet to get the hawk shot I've been wanting since I started shooting, though I did see one today -- WAY off in the distance, about the mid-point of my photowalk. -- Walt On 4/18/2012 8:22 PM, Bob Sullivan wrote: Nice gallery.
