Hi Dave, I like them. here is a link to one Tiger Lilly I put up on 6/28/09...Joe http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=9401092 - Original Message - From: "David J Brooks" To: "Pentax Discuss" , "Barbara Brooks" , "Harry Bolton" , "Kee Chong" Sent: Tuesday, June 30, 2009 7:23:53 AM GMT -05:00 US/Canada Eastern Subject: Geso Back yard photos Hi all. I added three more shots to my Flowers folder. http://photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=918347 All three shot with D200, Tamron 90 f2.8 macro and sRGB colour space set in camera. Not sure i like this set up. I had to do a lot of LR luminance and saturation to get the colours close. It seems nice enough on the flash shots i did of the kitchen after i stripped the paper off, as before shots. The colours seem pretty close, but the flower shots are all flat. I was tempted to go with one system as opposed to the two i have now, but i'm happier with my K10D for flowers and close up photos, the colour seems more vibrant. Although it could also be the D200, i've never been happy with the camera. No setting seems to give me nice colours and sharpness at the same time. So, Nikon for action, Pentax for landscapes and macros. Oh, Canon for IR. Looks like its a three system house then. Hi Dave: I like the 1st one--the garden statue of the dragon. Nice shot, and why not go for a study of just the dragon--maybe some black & white renderings. I like the floral too. Thanks all for the comments. Good thing i shot these Saturday, cause after the rain Sunday, 1/2 my back yard is under water. No, not IR Frank. Every thing was shot in colour and i played around with the leaf shots, and these two looked nice, at least to me, in B&W. I figure my G3 IR camera will start getting a work out just after Easter weekend. Re: Geso Back yard photos
Thanks Bob. The white fungi was a real challenge, and I did not get anything i really liked. I have enough leaves on the ground to 1/2 fill a compostable bag, so i just wondered around and tried to find something of interest. The dragon I broke, and need to get some Goop and adhere it's ear back on.
