Late to the party: Wonderful image, nicely rendered, and I agree with
others about the dust. Congrats, Dave!

Yep, it's always amusing to me when a quick grab could be better than a
carefully-planned photo.

As for your awards,

submitted 6 photos and won a first and two thirds,

I thought four thirds could've been more interesting to win. ;-)

Cheers!

Well at least the end of September is going a bit better now.:-)

Went for the opening night of the fair, family trandition, and had a look at
 the
photo displays. Again a LOT of nice work, in the colour, BW and digital
 catagories.

I managed a 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th in my print submissions, and not sure about
the digital. Results had not been completed, however i talked to the wife of
 the
co ordinator, and showed her my 7 digital entries, and she was sure 2-3 were
ribbon placers with 1 possible 1st.

All in all, i'm happy. Its not about the ribbons, but the challange to get
themed photos that i'm happy with, and from what i see, i need work.vbg

No to start looking for scenes for 2007.

Oh BTW, the IR photo that won me a 2nd place at GFM also recieved a 2nd in
 the
 Photographers choice section.
