Asheboro, NC - where the NC Zoo is located. Heard on the news yesterday that the last time central NC had snow on Christmas Day was 1947, two years before I was born. Looks like about 2 inches so far, and we still have very light flurries coming down just now when I looked out the front door. Up here in Lexington we got about an inch total. (Of course, we got about 6 in a week ago so a white Xmas was a given for us.) I was expecting the worst watching that storm track from the west.
