Thanks, Paul! Without chasing it any further, I got the spelling from Google. I actually thought the spelling was a little more exotic, but went with the first spelling listed. Great color. One of my favorite trees. I had a half dozen or so of them in New Jersey, but they're not hardy in Michigan. We called them Sweet Gums. That name comes from the Native American name for them. Apparently, they made gum from the sweet sap. I think the botanical name is Liqidumbar.
