That's a great story, thanks! To be honest, I wasn't worried that the doctor didn't make until the very end. We had two nurses and a respiratory therapist in the room. Plus, I helped out with the first one so I figured we were going to be fine one way or the other. I was just happy that Kristi only had to push maybe five times since she had no pain meds...or at least nothing that kicked in until it was all done. Great! My wife went through the same thing with our third baby. It was Christmas Eve, and the doctor went to a party. Told her to go home, because it wasn't coming. She knew better. Two hours later she delivered to me and an intern. No problem:-). That baby is now an art director working in Chicago. Best of all, I didn't have to pay for the delivery.
