Norm!

Thanks for reminding me. I have to take stock of my film in the fridge
to see what I need to stock up on in medium format - I am not shooting
that much 35mm, unless I am travelling.

I did shoot a roll of 35mm and three of 120 film on Sunday,

Here's a list of Pentax products which will disappear from the catalogue

Most notably the 645 and the 67.
Thwy kill only 645NII body, not lenses. Seems that 645 will be alive again
with upcoming 645D.

I think it is also interesting that the ring flash is finally discontinued. With
the recent introduction of FA-D macro lenses, and the upcoming 645D, I really
hope they will replace it.

Yes, with P-TTL, HSS and wireless capable version please. It would be even
better for nature photography if they'd introduce a kind of twin macro
flash. Sigma has very good two-lamp ring flash EM-140 that would have all
these features but despite promises it is still not ready in Pentax version.

Did you see how far the prices on the used 645 and 67 gear had dropped?

Now's the time, I suppose, to stock up on 645 glass.

67 glass is probably more endangered, since 645 glass is likely to
continue for the 645D.

It might be if I felt there was any point to shooting film anymore.
I do miss my 903SWC ... my all time favorite camera. Just couldn't
see having one to

sit in the closet.

With regards to the 67II, I could say that I told you so on January
1st this year

I wonder when Pentax last made one. Perhaps they should be asked!

Didn't listen to myself though and bought a secondhand one with 3
lenses. It is a fantastic camera. Anyone who wants to dispose of their
obsolete collection of lenses let me know. The fisheye and the ED
telephotos in particular. I won't even charge for collecting them.

Haven't been so enthusiastic since I bought my DS 18 months ago

I noticed that not-so-long-ago, when I saw a 67II kit appear on a
local auction site at what I thought was a ridiculously good price.
It turned out to be merely pretty good but I have no money so I had
to bite my tongue and look the other way.

I hope that Pentax are merely replacing the 67II with a new model,
but I suspect that they won't. We already know what's happening in
645-land.
