Re: Ricoh Pentax follies...
WRT to the Q system - I think it was discontinued in the US market though residual inventory is still available - B has some lenses and accessories, no new S1 bodies though. I think the system is still supported in Japan, so it makes sense it would be on the Ricoh Japan site. On the lens road map from earlier this year there are no new Q mount lenses yet to be released - the macro lens that was there for some time has disappeared. My guess is the Q's long term fate is not good. That's unfortunate because it is a nifty little system. Mark P. J. I also noticed that the Q line seems to be back as a product. So I checked the US site, where it isn't but the K-50 is now listed a current product again. This kind of thing begins to make one wonder, which particular band of inmates is running which particular asylum. --- This email has been checked for viruses by AVG. http://www.avg.com -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

The copier division is currently running Pentax in North America. They consolidated the territories. Dark times. On Tue, Aug 15, 2017 at 12:50 PM, P. J. I don’t know about the construction notice, I haven’t seen that. But at least since March-April 2016 all manuals have been on the .jp site. And none of the ones I have looked for have been on the U.S. site.
