In Pentax?  Probably the K-70 but none of them are really good for
movies.  I think I'd invest in a Panasonic, some of which are quite good
and old enough to be inexpensive.

Re: Has anybody tried connecting Pentax K-1 for live streaming via HDMI?

2020-12-01 Thread Bruce Walker
I tried my K-3. It works but there's no way to rid the feed of every
single overlay distraction. I was able to disable all but the AF focus
indicator which was always there, somewhere, annoyingly.

I used a "Foscomax 4K Ultra HD USB 3.0 HDMI" capture device 'cause
it's fairly cheap on Amazon. Fed it into the free OBS Studio on my
Macbook.

I wonder if anybody has tried a Cam Link from Elgato with a Pentax DSLR,
in particular, K-1, - or any other solution that allows to live-stream
HDMI output from the camera?

I see that there were some problems 3 years ago, - but I wonder if those

I just tested the video link for streaming and it seems to be working.
Cotty just got to see our cat via Internet video linkup. Ain't technology

Here's the link:

We'll turn it on at 6:00 p.m. CDT on May 7th. That's going to be midnight in

When this software streams the video so it can be seen, does it
automatically record and keep a copy on this site? Is this like recording a
tv show on a vhs tape for viewing later? Sorry for the newbie question,

At last - I have a whole load of questions on a great many subjects.

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
Why do you want this job?
If income and wealth rise in all quintiles of the distribution but rise most
rapidly in the top quintile, is this good or bad?
What is the ideal relation between the individual and the state?
Do you know the way to San Jose?
...

There are just so many - I can hardly wait until next week!

Should I trust a text message from a man who can't tell one end of a

Here's the link:

We'll turn it on at 6:00 p.m. CDT on May 7th. That's going to be
midnight in the UK, but it'll be worth staying up late for ;-)
