I'm using Fastmail via the web interface so I can't see any headers. i moved from a local ISP to a paid fastmail account about six months ago and i'm very happy with it; i chose fastmail after a fairly extensive search; i have a detailed script that filters all my email into folders on the server side (meaning filtering happens regardless of what client i use), copies some to another account, and applies Thunderbird labels to some; works great; it can take 15 minutes for the server-side forwarding (which may also include the polling delay on the other account), but the rest has been very solid Fastmail has served me well for the last 3 or 4 years so I'm a bit bemused about this problem. One thing you might want to try - send a reply/followup from your second Fastmail account. It's possible that Fastmail supresses copies of mail it thinks it has already seen (which could include messages it originated). If that's the case, a message sent from the second account would show up in the inbox for the first account, but not in the inbox for the second account. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
Re: Testing...Testing... (again)
From: Brian Walters Sorry for the interruption to your scheduled program My Fastmail account has stopped receiving PDML mail again. It did the same thing about a week ago and after about 8 hours I received all of the day's mail in one hit. It's a bit odd, especially as my fastmail account seems to be receiving other mail OK (I just tested it from my regular mail client). I've also checked my PDML subscription status and it all looks OK. According to the archives, there have been 20-30 postings to the list since my 'black out' about 3 hours ago, so obviously others aren't seeing the problem. Very confusing Just seeing if this reaches the list - I'll check the archives shortly. Cheers Brian It shows up in PDML Digest, Vol 69, Issue 122 Are you sure Fastmail isn't just another plot for world domination by CaNikon shooting lusers? Hmmm Well this is getting odder and odder. Just for kicks, I set up a second Fastmail account for PDML mail and, hey presto, it received my reply to Doug. But the original Fastmail account hasn't. Hi Doug I just noticed your reply in the archives. Thanks. I'm still not receiving list mail at Fastmail. It's now the middle of the night in North America so I don't anticipate any posts for a few hours so I'll check my Fastmail account again in the morning and follow up with Fastmail if there are still problems. Re: Testing...Testing... (again)
Thanks David and Christine. The only reason I know you replied is because I saw your messages (and my original post) in the archives. I haven't seen any of those posts in my Fastmail account. David, Fastmail (at the base level I use) doesn't have a spam folder so I should get everything. It's odd that it's just PDML mail that's affected. I guess I just have to see if all of the mail turns up in a few hours like last time. Christine - nice use of the Nik software on that snowplow shot.
